Once your evaluation consultation is scheduled, your skin will be evaluated, we will address your concerns and determine if you are a candidate for Ultherapy®.
There are no pre-treatment skin care requirements associated with Ultherapy®, so once you book your appointment for your personalized Ultherapy® procedure, you can relax!
In addition, to make your experience more pleasant, we will recommend certain options to improve your comfort during treatment.
During Treatment
After cleansing your skin and identifying the specific areas to be treated, ultrasound gel will be applied and you will place the soft treatment applicator against your skin.
During the treatment, you will feel small amounts of energy being deposited under the skin, indicating that the collagen formation process has started. Comfort levels may vary from person to person, but you may experience a warm or tingling sensation while the energy is being delivered.
After Treatment
Your skin may appear red at first, but the redness should go away in a few hours. Some patients experience slight swelling, tingling or tenderness, but these are mild and temporary in nature.
Other less common post-procedure effects may include temporary bruising or numbness in small areas of the skin. As with any medical procedure, we will give you detailed information about what to expect after your treatment with Ultherapy®.
